(Cornary Artery Bypass Surgery)

One of the largest experience in infective endocarditis treatment. Part of both 'on' and 'off' pump Myocardial Revascularization techniques are available in our programme. We have developed special techniques and instrumentation for the safe conduct of 'off pump' Myocardial Revascularization Procedure. An 'OPCAB' sternal retractor has been specially designed for safe conduct of beating heart surgery by Dr Bhan.

Aortic Aneursym Programme

 

The surgical team headed by Dr Anil Bhan has developed one of the largest Aortic Aneurysm programmes in India. All varieties of dissecting and non-dissecting aneurysms are operated in our unit with excellent outcomes.

Pediatric Surgery

 

Dr Bhan developed one of the largest neonatal cardiac surgical programme when at AIIMS and our unit continues to perform all kinds of complex pediatric procedures. We already have three Pediatric Cardiologists and a team of Pediatric lntencivists on board to develop this programme to a point of excellence.

Valvular Heart Surgery

 

Dr Bhan and his team members have extensive experience in valvular heart surgery both replacement and repair procedures. He has special interest in the Ross Procedure for native Aortic Valve Disease. This procedure is done by very few surgeon in India

Future Directions

 

Focus is to develop the program for Arrhythmia Surgery, Minimal Invasive Surgery by alternative routes, Endovascular techniques for Aortic diseases and catheter based techniques for Valve replacement in selected patients.
